Established in 1974, their expertise in aluminium fabrication, and their reputation for practical and innovative design work has placed them as a major commercial aluminium boat builder both nationally and internationally.
Although they manufacture mainly commercial aluminium vessels for various government authorities and organisations, they also build a range of fishing boats and specialty products, such as trailers.
Yamba Welding and Engineering build a number of boats designed by other companies, and they also have three trademarked standard range boats of their own.
Their Pro Punt® range is a heavy duty aluminium workboat which is used across a range of marine activities and industries.
The Pacific Sports Fish® is a brand which most avid fishermen will have heard of. Pacific Sports Fish® is a range of innovative aluminium plate boats which are renowned for their reliability and strength.
Yamba Welding obtained an exclusive licence from Naiad to build Naiad design boats in New South Wales, Queensland and Northern Territory as well as Pacific Islands in November 2010.
Ranging in size from 2.5 metres to 24 metres and powered by outboards, diesel jets and stern drives, Naiad vessels are now used by governments around the world for customs surveillance, fisheries protection, police and coastguard duties, and are used as commercial and pleasure vessels for fishing, diving, surveying, pilotage, tourism and as tenders for yachts.
The Ocean Cylinder® range of aluminium boats was acquired by Yamba Welding & Engineering Pty Ltd in 2002, and with continued development of the hull, choice of configurations, options and customising for special purpose use the range has continued to evolve and expand.
Ocean Cylinder® boats are used by government and other statutory bodies, including Queensland Police and Northern Territory Land Councils as well as many different commercial operators and discerning recreational fishermen, both in Australia and overseas.
