Club Iluka opened their doors for ‘Cuppa for Cancer’ and by all accounts, a great morning was had by all, Image: contributed.

Another successful “Cuppa for Cancer” at Club Iluka

On Wednesday May 31 supporters of the ‘Biggest Morning Tea’ rolled up to Club Iluka where the Iluka Women’s Bowls Club were hosting the annual fund raising “Cuppa

for Cancer” on behalf of Club Iluka.

There was no shortage of goodies to accompany the bottomless cups of tea and coffee and it was a happy and friendly occasion.

In addition to the tea and chat, the patrons were able to browse and purchase from a variety of mini market tables selling plants, bric-a-brac, biscuits, cakes and preserves.

Raffles and lucky door prizes kept everyone amused and interested.

Tracy Parkes from the Central Coast won the major raffle prize of a large, stunning print of Iluka, donated by Margaret Friend.

Thank you to all who attended and supported this very worthwhile cancer fundraiser and contributed towards the final total raised of $2250.

Thanks, also, to all who generously donated prizes and goods for the market tables, and many thanks to the ladies of Iluka Women’s Bowls Club who, as usual, worked tirelessly to make it such a success.
