Staff and customers enjoyed a visit from young adult author, A J Betts, as she visited Grafton on her AJ Goes Rogue tour around Australia.

The Western Australian author has written and published five young adult novels since 2008, with the most recent titles being ‘Zac & Mia’, ‘Hive’ and ‘Rogue’.

The books have been a great success with Zac & Mia being adapted for television by LA-based AwesomenessTV in 2017/2018 and is now available in Australia on iTunes.

‘Hive’ has been shortlisted for the 2019 Gold Inky Awards, the 2019 ABIA awards and the 2019 Indie Book Awards.

A J is taking time from her teaching career to travel the country visiting bookstores, libraries and writing festivals to promote her work.  Store manager of the Grafton Book Warehouse, Angela Clarke, says: “It was delightful to see A J include regional places such as Grafton in her book tour, and to provide an opportunity for the local community to meet an author and have a book signed”

Signed copies of ‘Hive’ and ‘Rogue’ are available for purchase in store.

The Book Warehouse at 89 Prince Street is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-2pm.
