He has the biggest heart in the Clarence Valley and loves seeing the grateful smiles and reading messages of appreciation from people he has helped through his local fundraising efforts.

And when Aidan Really generously delivered $22000 worth of fuel vouchers and gift cards to be distributed amongst patients at the Grafton Base Hospital (GBH) Oncology Unit on January 10, he proudly announced that he is looking forward to coming back with more.

After his father sadly passed away following a battle with cancer a couple of years ago, Aidan has become a prominent fundraiser and is always willing to do whatever he can to help others.

Joined by his mum Veronica Balsamello, Aidan has organised many fundraising events to help members of his local community as they continue to recover from the devastation of recent bushfires, floods, droughts, and battle their own personal fights.

The incredible efforts of his most recent fundraisers, including proceeds from selling special Team Aidan coffee cups through local cafes, have gone towards purchasing gift cards from Clarence Valley businesses and fuel vouchers from the Grafton BP to help ease financial pressures often experienced by cancer patients.

“The $100 gift cards and $50 fuel vouchers are really helping to make such a difference in people’s lives,” Ms Balsamello said, adding the gift cards can be spent anywhere EFTPOS is accepted.

“We have received so many beautiful messages from people thanking us for what Aidan has done.”

“I really love helping people and I want to keep fundraising for a long time,” Aidan said graciously.

Aidan is also inviting people to attend two upcoming fundraisers on January 26, including a dog wash and barbeque at You Love’em, We Scrub’m from 7:30am until late, and a second barbeque at the Big River Ski Lodge from 2-6pm.

All proceeds raised will go directly towards helping Clarence Valley residents.

Ms Balsamello wished to acknowledge the many local businesses for their continuous support, and she is also encouraging people to get involved in the online meat raffles which are held each Friday as part of Aidan’s ongoing fundraising projects.
