Forty eight players greeted the starters on Sunday for a Single Stableford event in conjunction with the 2nd round of the Ellem family trophy. The best score of the day was a fine 23 points by C Grade winner Peter Chessell followed by Peter Curd John Blanch and Keith Ellem all on 21 points and Dally Clark with 20. The three point margin is the biggest we have had for several months so well played Peter. There was one Waterboy from Sunday and that was Ross Rodd on the 7th, welcome to the club Ross. At the AGM Held at the GDSC after the game there was very little change to your committee, with the only change being Dave Tasker was elected back on the committee after a few years absent and Joe Leonard not seeking re-election. There was only one ballot required on the day and that was for the position of captain and that resulted in Peter Curd defeating Peter McLellan. I look forward to working with the committee and I am sure that together we can further build on the strong position of the Club. Next Sunday is a Stableford Pairs Multiplier event, the event to make or break friendships. Starters will be I Steward and D Clark with J Armstrong and D Lynch to handle the results. Sunday 27th September will be a 4 person Ambrose event in support of the Junior Jacaranda Entrants. Starters will be G Duffy and P Taaffe with G Mallison and P Curd to handle the results. Dave Lynch
