  Helen Collins and Meg Kulmar proudly display the shield on which their names will be engraved this year. On Friday last, they defeated Carolyn Chester and Pauline McKinnon in the final round of the Knock-out. Congratulations to both girls for their tenacity and skill in taking out the Championship. A single Stableford was played on Wednesday last when some high results were achieved with Jenny Macqueen winning A Grade by scoring 40 points, followed by Helen Collins 37. Glynis Meredith was B Grade winner 43 from Jane Bonner 42. Pro balls went to 34c/b and pins were won by Di Sigle 3 – Yamba Medical Centre, Glynis Meredith 3/2 – Yamba Florist, Jane Bonner 9 – Yamba Pro Shop and also 17/2 – The Block, Kaye Caller 10 – Yamba Fair Butchery, Robyn Brockwell 12 – The Shoe Boutique, and Jenny Macqueen 17 – Clovelly Fashions. Wednesday’s 9 holes was won by Jenny Moody with 20 points and lucky draws were won by Julie Campbell – Civic Video, Toni Elliott – the Friendly Grocer, Di Sigle – Priceline Pharmacy, Jane Bonner – Yamba Florist, and Carolyn Chester – Sweet and Spicy. Jenny Macqueen was the lucky winner of the raffle which raised $113.00. Winning A Grade in another Single Stableford on Friday was Suzanne Scott 38 from Wendy Shanahan 37. B Grade was won by Wendy O’Brien 40c/b, with runner-up Virginia Moore also 40. Winning the pins were Jenny Macqueen3 – Tom’s Chinese Seafood Restaurant, Jenny Dewar 3/2 Retireinvest as well as 9 – Peter Campbell Physiotherapy, Lorraine Bentley 10 – Kitchen to Table, Robyn Causley 12 – Yamba’s Fisho, Lyn Rowland 17 – Wato’s Fish & Burgers and Jenny Muir 17/2 – Yamba Pharmacy. Ball run-down to 34c/b. Saturday’s event attracted 7 players and was won by Julie Campbell 38 from Kathy Parker 37. The pin on 12 was won by Sue Madden. Pauline McKinnon
