The 9th Brown & Hurley Hurluka Cup was held on Thursday January 10 at the beautifully prepared Iluka Golf Course. A 72 strong field (mainly from Iluka and Kyogle) started the day with a sausage sizzle and Barry Arnold’s famous onions and other treats. We were treated to a beautiful day with a slight breeze and players enjoyed wonderful conditions with the following major results:

The Overall winner – Brian Priestly 41pts; men’s winner – Frank Poore 39pts; ladies winner – Lorraine Hoffie 40pts; men’s r/up – David Robbins 38pts; ladies r/up – Laurice Poore 38pts.

NTP’s: 1/10 Brian Priestly & Jeanene (J9); 6/15 Col Griffiths & Laurice Poore; 8/17 Barry Little & Jeanene (J9).

The raffle winner was Garry Freeman. Overall there were 24 fantastic prizes and our thanks go to Jim and Clare Hurley for all their hard work in organising an event that runs so smoothly and raises excellent funds for the golf club. Also a big thank you to all the volunteers who helped ensure the day was a great success.
