Well, Yamba Yabbies members ended their 2015 year by celebrating with their Christmas Party along with special guests, Samantha winner of Yamba Lions Club Youth of the Year and Alyssa winner of Maclean YOTY accompanied by her mother, Ding. We enjoyed a lovely meal from the Bistro before Samantha and Alyssa gave us their winning speeches. They both spoke so well, have loads of personality and two members gave them a verbal evaluation which should help them in the next level of competition to be held in Coffs Harbour March 12, 2016. They also joined in celebrity heads and other competitions. Resident poet Noel, gave us three wonderful poems, including two of his own. We also had a soapbox segment where Brendon, Belinda, Samantha, Alyssa and Noel aired their ‘beefs’. It was a fun night with plenty of laughter. The club is now in recess until February 1, next year.
