Yamba Women’s Bowling Club – Blue Pacific Fours

The annual Blue Pacific Fours women’s tournament held on Monday August 7 saw our greens bathed in sunshine for our ladies. Some great scores were carded with stiff competition from clubs as far north as Kingscliff and south to Park Beach along with our much welcomed visitors from the southern states escaping the cold with one visitor hailing from New Zealand. Round 1: winners from Maclean, Lee Rae, Merle Ryan, C Byrum, Margaret Stallard. Round 2: winners from Iluka, Ros Duncan, Glenda Ritchie, Lyn Briggs, Yvonne Eckhart. Round 3: winners from Maclean P Ryan, C Johnson, M Crelley, J Parks. 4th place (Park Beach) P Fletcher, B Pyne, D Jones, C Garrett; 3rd place (Yamba) Sue Lindsay, Judy Pryor, Margaret Abbott, N Smith; 2nd place (Kingscliff) A Monks, K Leslie, A McNamara, J Wallis (NZ); 1st place (South Grafton) Betty Ford, Margaret Andrews, Ann Bunn, Candice Nixon.
