Yamba Nippers finished off their season last Saturday with a celebration at Yamba SLSC. Well done to all nippers for achieving their surf education awards. Thank you to the Age Managers, Water Safety, Nippers Committee and Parent Helpers for another successful season. Seventeen swimmers took part in last Sundays Carl Schaeffer Handicap Swim. 1st place went to Kalani Ives, off 110 seconds, with Geoff Sanders, off 70 seconds, 2nd and Jim Dougherty, off 170 seconds, 3rd. Extra swims will be held this Easter weekend, with registrations at 11am at the front of the clubhouse and the race starting at 11.30am on Friday, Sunday and Monday. Yamba SLSC bar will be open this Sunday from 4-6pm. All members and visitors are welcome to come and enjoy a cold beverage on the balcony overlooking the beach, or watching the football on one of the TV’s. Senior Club Championships will be held Sunday 10th April. Please contact Jim Dougherty for more details. Yamba SLSC meat raffles are on every Saturday evening at the Yamba Golf and Country Club. This Saturday Greg Wyllie, James Ryan, Mark Gillespie, Mitch Imerson, Danielle Connolly will be selling tickets from 5.30pm with the draw starting at 6.30pm. With 33 fantastic meat trays to be won, go along and try your luck! More people are needed to assist with running the meat raffles.
