Yamba parkrun on Saturday April 23

This coming weekend we are making walkers to parkrun extra welcome by encouraging all participants to hang around after their run and clap runners and walkers across the line. We have the 1 Ounce coffee van coming along to provide refreshment. We would love to invite you and your friends and family to join us to try parkrun and enjoy a coffee after. Saturday’s results Male placings: Tyler Burrowes (SM20-24) was first over the line in 18:07 – first appearance; Max Russell (JM10) was second over the line in 20:48; Patrick Dougherty (VM50-54) was third (4th overall) over the line in 20:51. Current standing in the Men’s annual points competition: Rick Lindsay 477; Tom Barnsley 472pts; Nathan White 399pts. Female placings: Cate Gifford (SW18-19) of Old Xaverians, was first (third overall) over the line in 20:49 – first appearance; Chloe Smith (JW11-14) of Northern Rivers Running Chicks, was second (6th overall) over the line in 21:39 – was first to finish once before; Tegan Taylor (JW10) was third (7th overall) over the line in 21:42. Current standing in the Women’s annual points competition: Jess Causley (Running Mums Australia) 579pts; Linda Burow (Unattached) 455pts; Sarah Cassidy (Unattached) 451pts. The following runners recorded the best Age Grade scores: Tegan Taylor (JW10) was graded 80.88% for the time 21:42 (7th overall); Max Russell (JM10) was graded 75.88% for the time 20:48 (second overall); Jayden Taylor (JM10) was graded 73.96% for the time 25:17 (17th overall). This week there were 59 runners, of whom 19 were first timers and 14 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 5 different athletics clubs took part.
