Lynne Mowbray Three Yamba women have recently returned from the Australian Masters Game in Tasmania, with medals. Yamba gymnastics club owner Mallika Van Pelt competed in the Gymnastics 40-49 yrs age group and won six medals; Balance – gold, Vault – gold, Bars – silver, Floor – silver and mini trampoline – silver. Mallika also took out second place overall in her age group in the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Open Division, for which she received a silver medal. Yamba Crossfit members Margaret Pukallus 66 and Di Weick 61 also won medals in their weight class. Margaret won gold in Power Lifting and Di took out the silver medal, also in Power Lifting.
