In a hard-fought encounter at Lyle Rugby Park at Wollongbar, Yamba Buccaneers 34 defeated Casino Bulls 22 with some brilliant backline tries scored out wide.

These were executed by James Hawley, Christian Whitaker, Jordan Elbassi, Brian Anderson & Chris Williams. Nathan Hollis converted 3 of those and kicked one penalty goal. 

Players Player went to hooker Beau Birch who had an outstanding game especially in defence, against some huge opponents. 

Best & Fairest 3 points to Beau Birch; 2 points to lock Kyah Hurrell who also took on the massive Casino forward pack; 1 point went to inside centre Nathan Hollis who was brilliant in attack, setting up a number of tries and kicking 4 goals from 6 attempts.

Other players to shine were fullback Joel Imeson for his enthusiastic general play and Captain and no 8 Adrian Miller who was everywhere in attack and defence.

Yamba move on to the final against Mullumbimby Rugby Club next weekend at Ballina Rugby League field.
