World Day of Prayer celebrations cancelled

The Grafton Salvation Army was forced to cancel their service in recognition of the World Day of Prayer on March 4 due to flooding.

Major Cathryn Williamson revealed The Grafton Salvation Army Hall in Oliver Street had half a metre of water in the front foyer on February 28, with levels continuing to rise as the Northern Rivers region received a deluge of rain.

Despite the sad cancellation, Major Williamson thanked the community for their understanding and encouraged people to stay safe during these uncertain times.
