Working together through free community workshops

Members of the Mend and Make Do Crew (MMDC) are inviting Clarence Valley residents to attend a number of upcoming free community workshops.

Aimed at assisting and supporting people as they continue to grow and heal following traumatic events and experiences through the power of meditation, mindfulness, yoga, and art and crafts, the workshops are also open to everyone, and anyone looking to engage and socialise with others while exploring their creativity.

MMDC Coordinator James Moloney said regardless of familiarity with these practices, the workshops are “sure to be useful to anyone dealing with anxiety and any level of trauma, as well as to those professionals and volunteers operating in intense situations or engaging with people in distress.”

Mr Moloney also said the workshops are great opportunities for people to learn new skills alongside experienced craft practitioners, with all materials being provided along with morning tea and lunch.

The MMDC is a proud not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers.

The workshops are partially funded through community support grants.
