A working bee is a great way to make sure that your equipment is kept to a high standard of presentation and safety. It is also a great way to relax, chat and laugh amongst friends.

Clarence Coast Dragon Boat Club managed to do just that and incorporate World Compliment Day. After a fabulous hour on the water, the crew grabbed the cloths and polish and gave the boat a much needed clean whilst others headed to the boat storage shed and cleaned out the gutters, cobwebs and leaf litter. Compliments and lollies were a plenty to ensure the energy levels did not fall.

Why don’t you give dragon boating a go and enjoy the mighty Clarence River? Join us on Wednesday at 3.30pm at Hickey Island and/or Saturdays 7.30am at the Yamba Boat ramp.

It’s a whole-body workout. Great for strengthening your abs and core. Your endurance and stamina will quickly build from training and your coordination will improve.

But benefits are mental too. People do it for enjoyment and relaxation.
