Woombah local inducted into National Road Transport Hall of Fame

Local Woombah resident, Glen Ross Stephan, was inducted into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame over the weekend at the annual National Road Transport Hall of Fame Reunion in Alice Springs.

The road transport industry’s prestigious awards, sponsored by Shell Rimula for the past nineteen years, celebrates the achievements and service of the Australian road transport community.

Stephan was among more than 50 inductees named and welcomed into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame for 2019.

From a young age, Glen demonstrated a passion for trucks that lasted over 50 years. A champion for innovation and fleet efficiency, he graduated as Dux and Apprentice of the Year with Duce Motors in his hometown of Brisbane.

From here Glen took on major roles as a manager of national fleets, before pioneering the implementation of Premium Diesel in the Australian transport industry. Held in high regard, Glen has created a legacy that will live on for years to come.

“It’s been a great journey and I’ll always support this wonderful industry that we work in,” said Stephan.

Nick Lubransky, Viva Energy Transport Lubricants Marketing Manager, said “We’re proud to once again sponsor the National Road Transport Hall of Fame and welcome another group of inductees into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame.”

“We’re excited to acknowledge the achievements of people like Glen, and celebrate this weekend with Australia’s trucking community,” Mr Lubransky added.
