Ed, Wherrett Park in Maclean is undergoing some long overdue albeit woefully inadequate attention from Clarence Valley Council. The park has had seriously inadequate parking for years to the point now where it is downright dangerous for children attending sporting fixtures and parent drivers. Council’s strategy to ease the problem now seems to be: remove most of the car park. While we have become accustomed to Councils “solutions” to inadequate facilities being their complete removal, incompetence is one thing, gross stupidity is something completely different!
