Tour de cure passes through the Clarence Valley

  The Tour de Cure bike ride which raises awareness and funds for cancer research, passed through the Clarence Valley during the weekend. The riders and support crew arrived at Maclean’s McLachlan Park just after lunchtime on Saturday before heading through Lawrence and onto Grafton where they spent the night. On Sunday they tackled the tough ride over the range towards Glen Innes. According to the Tour de Cure website, since 2007, Tour de Cure riders, volunteers, support crew, corporate sponsors and other supporters have raised in excess of $23 million and funded over 242 cancer research, support and prevention projects, leading to 18 cancer breakthroughs!
