Staff celebrated International Nurses’ Day at Grafton and Maclean on Wednesday May 12.

Sharon Wright, Director Nursing and Midwifery summed the general feeling of staff toward their role.

“As nurses and midwives, none of us have any ordinary job. We have the extreme privilege to be part of the most important, life changing and vulnerable moments in people’s lives. We are there at births, we promote wellbeing, we comfort, support and sooth, we educate and empower, we advocate, we protect, we innovate, we improvise, we care for the dying and those left behind, and much, much more that simply cannot be put into words.”
