South Grafton CWA Evening Branch
After a summer break for Christmas and New Year we will hold our first meeting for 2016 on Thursday, February 11 at 7pm at Grafton CWA rooms.
We have a busy year planned and it would be great if members could suggest some guest speakers they would like to hear and learn from this year. We have a guest speaker organised for the March meeting and at the February meeting Leonie will share with us her experiences in Canberra at the Mongolian workshop.
Mongolia is our Country of Study this year and it should be interesting learning about the culture and history of this remote country. Our Product to study is the blueberry and Flora is red cedar, Fauna the Regent Honeyeater and Foe is the Rhus Tree. Sounds like an educational year ahead.
We will again be supporting the Grafton Show with a donation to the Junior section in the horticultural pavilion as well as cooking Devonshire teas for patrons in the pavilion.
First CWA Group function will be on March 2 at Glenreagh with cookery and handicraft judging and ag and environment speaker. Wednesday March 16 is our Council meeting at Chatsworth Island.
Visitors and new members are always welcome to join our Evening Branch for fun and friendship and share a cuppa at the end of each meeting. For information phone Gai on 6644 9604 (in evening) or Barb on 6642 5297.
