Promoting harmony

Yaegl Elders and the Harwood community are preparing for the upcoming Harmony Day celebration at the Harwood Hotel on March 19, 2016. On Wednesday November 4 there will a community meeting held at the hotel at 7pm – and anyone interested in making a contribution is invited to attend. Spokesperson Kathleen Werry said the Harmony Day event will celebrate the Clarence Valley’s multicultural diversity. “There will be food, music, dancing and entertainment, representing the many cultures and people who make up our vibrant society,” she said. People who would like to get involved and share their “cultural heritage, music, arts and crafts or anything else on this special day” should contact Kathleen Werry on 0401 861 725 or at K.Werry84@gmail.com or Leah Essex at harwoodhotel@bigpond.net – alternatively, just turn up at the meeting next Wednesday.
