Photography Workshop a Great Success for Saint Joseph’s Primary Maclean

cvi   Saint Joseph’s Primary Maclean was very fortunate to have their submission accepted for a Moran Free School Photographic Workshop in 2016. The Moran Arts Foundation is a philanthropic, not for-profit organisation whose objective is to support the Arts in Australia through the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prizes, and the Moran School Photographic Workshops cvi Our whole day workshop was held on Friday 19th February 2016.  Year 5 and 6 students participated as part of the schools enrichment program and this was a very special privilege.  Students were lead by renowned photographer Louise Whelan to consider how photography can tell a story as well as more technical aspects of capturing or creating a great image.  Every student was issued with a camera, memory card, batteries and a camera case.  Some of the boys were very busy staging and taking action shots while others were keen to show something special about a friend, things which are loved on our site or views of the amazing world we live in. cvi Later in the day students were able to save their images onto their drive before choosing their five favourite photos which were printed to take home and also to be entered in the junior section of the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prizes 2016. cvi
