What happens when you combine naughty children, a gardener, a princess, a fairy with bright purple hair, a goblin and magic? You get The Trouble with Fairy Tales. “A mix of adventure, comedy, occasional romance, and pantomime magic, this show will have all who see it smiling,” says the production’s director and writer, Aaron Sweeney. “The stage is set and the cast are ready to bring this not seen in NSW show to life. “Our amazing cast has worked so hard to bring magic to the stage, but behind the scenes we have had our hard-working crew making costumes and sets and working diligently to make the magic happen. “Parents and grandparents of the cast and members of CCTS have all worked hard to bring the show together and bring smiles to the community.” With surprises and laughs guaranteed, make sure you book your tickets before they sell out. Tickets are on sale at Maclean Flower Box, phone 6645 2998; adults $10; children $5 – a toe-tapping good time is guaranteed; and boisterous audience participation is highly encouraged. Clarence Coast Theatrical Society was created in 2011 by members of the community who wanted to see more theatre and live performances in the area. Since then, the organisation has grown and has had many successful productions performed throughout the Clarence Valley.
