As promised, we played a two person Ambrose for our final pre Christmas game and with ideal conditions and there were some excellent scores returned. There was some talk of talent scouts being around for the next Presidents Cup.
Ken Lillie and John Lockwood won the day with a nett 26.25 followed closely by Graham Meany and Keith Britton with 28.5 and Steve Dorrell and Kevin Moran on 30. In fact all pairs came in substantially better than their handicaps, so it shows what can be done when handicaps can’t be adjusted for future games!
NTPs saw Terry Wilson and Ken Hall win the Pro Shop voucher and Bean Scene voucher on the 10th, as well as a Sassafras voucher and Sweet ‘n’ Spicy voucher on the 17th. On the 12th Kevin Moran and Steve Dorrell selected a bag of practice balls each.
With our next game scheduled for New Years Eve there is some doubt whether we will have the numbers for a comp round but we will be there in readiness. If we don’t run a competition, those that arrive can simply play a social 9 holes. All the best for the New Year to all members.
