Congratulations to Scooter Hinton who sailed beautifully to be overall winner in a strong field at Harwood over the weekend.
Big River Sailing Club hosted the regatta which is one in a series for this class of dingy. Gus Young placed a credible 7th in the strong field of 19.
The regular club racing handicap round was also on as usual with a reduced fleet of 10 boats due to challenging conditions. There was no shortage of capsizes and near capsizes as skippers navigated the gusty south easterly, an opposing strong outgoing tide and the extra race running at the same time. It was exhilarating to say the least and perfect conditions in the eyes of seasoned sailors. In the multi hull division Brian and Nathan fought it out in a tight battle with Brian crossing the line first but Nathan winning both on handicap. In the monohull division Kate and Hariet were seconds apart with each taking a win.
