Osprey RSL Day Club

What an amazing week.

I have had another really quick trip out to Gunnedah with my niece to retrieve my brother’s car as he has now moved to Yamba. We drove up Monday, overnighted, and drove that lovely windy Ebor Road on Tuesday using the wipers almost all the way home. Then our precious granddaughter arrived Wednesday, and we were in party mode until Saturday. Once again, I am still standing! I think I might need a B12 shot to achieve this week’s activities.

It was so nice to welcome Margaret and Colin to Osprey on Friday. They came along to suss us out and see if Margaret would be happy in our environment whilst Col continues to bowl each week. Now that’s what I call a good hubby. I hope we passed the test as I had to leave early and did not get a chance to see if they enjoyed the day. I hope so, and that we will see you again next week Margaret.

I am sorry that I did not stay to take the exercise class for you on Friday, but I just needed to spend every available second with Elise my granddaughter. I did try and talk her into taking the class as she is a PE teacher at a very special sports college in Sydney. She declined gracefully for which you are probably grateful. I believe you were going to have a “getting to know you circle” instead. I love them, and it does give everyone a chance to meet new folk.

During the week I ran into Ann from Let’s All Sing group, and she told me how much they enjoyed performing for us a few weeks ago, and that they will happily come again closer to Christmas. Yay.

The raffle winners were Bev F the Sweet n Savoury prize. Nigel and Dorothy won Free Day passes. Maureen won the last prize…. which must have been something wonderful, but they forgot to tell me what she chose.

That’s all folks.
