Nominate nurse or midwife for Healing Heart Award

If you know of a nurse or a midwife who goes above and beyond to provide outstanding care to their patients, now is your chance to have their achievements recognised as part of the Northern NSW Local Health District NNSWLHD 2024 Excellence in Nursing and Midwifery Awards.

Members of the public from across Northern NSW are invited to nominate nurses and midwives who have demonstrated outstanding care or contributed to improved health outcomes for the Healing Heart Consumer Appreciation Award.

The awards are held annually to acknowledge the contribution and dedication of nurses and midwives working in hospitals and health services across the district.

NNSWLHD Director of Nursing and Midwifery, Katharine Duffy said the awards recognise nurses or midwifes who demonstrated an uncompromising commitment to elevating the patient experience by building connection with patients/women and their families through trust, kindness and empowerment.

“These awards are an opportunity to recognise and celebrate our nurses and midwives for their significant contribution to patients and the broader community,” Katharine Duffy, NNSWLHD Director of Nursing and Midwifery, said.

“I encourage anyone who has had an outstanding experience with a nurse or midwife anywhere across our region to help us acknowledge the work they do by nominating them for the Healing Heart Consumer Appreciation Award.

“Our nurses and midwives do an amazing job every day caring for our community, and it’s wonderful to be able to acknowledge the positive impact their care has had on patients and their families.”

Nominations for the Healing Heart Awards close at 5pm on May 14.
