Disturbingly as the two-year anniversary for the 2022 flood approaches, yet another developer wants to punch a new hole in the water storage capacity of the Clarence River floodplain.

An application has just gone in to council for 16 townhouses at 30 Golding Street Yamba.

If this goes ahead there will be more flooding risk along Golding, Cook, Susan, and Endeavour Streets, Yamba Road and Yamba Plaza.

Unconscionable given what happened to some residents and businesses two years ago.
