Mindful awareness is about noticing the experience you are having, whether it is a thought, a feeling or an emotion. Everything starts with a thought.
Practice noticing your thoughts and ask yourself the question: ‘Is the thought helpful?’
If the answer is ‘yes’, then accept it, expand on it and put it into action.
If the answer is ‘no’, then accept it and let it go! If you dwell on unhelpful thoughts, you give them power.
If you fight with unhelpful thoughts, you will get stressed. If you try to avoid unhelpful thoughts, you may end up with addictions. The key here is acceptance of your thoughts.
That way, you can ‘live in the flow’! Be Mindful… Pause… Connect!
