Kaneana, who lives on the Mid North Coast with her husband and three children, said ‘The One’, published by Harlequin, wasn’t her first completed manuscript but was the first one with which she was able to break through to publication.

“The premise of the book revolves around a reality TV dating show called The One and follows the stories of three women; a producer, a contestant and an occasional viewer,” she said.

“It combines my love for both ‘behind the scenes’ television production and small town living.

“My author talk covers how I first fell in love with story, studying television production at university, landing a dream job in TV, moving into fiction writing, managing to write with young kids and then finally getting a book deal, and what’s been involved since signing the contract.

“I look forward to sharing it with readers and writers of the Clarence Valley.”
