The Grafton Jacaranda Festival Committee Inc. wish to advise that nominations are now open for the 2016 Jacaranda Festival Matron of Honour. Each year valued mature women from the Clarence Valley community are nominated for the position of Matron of Honour at the Jacaranda Festival. The Matron of Honour then spends the year getting to know the Jacaranda Queen candidates and mentoring these unique women as they fundraise for and promote the Jacaranda Festival. Once the 2016 Jacaranda Queen is crowned on Saturday 29th October 2016 the Matron of Honour will spend the following year attending functions as part of the Royal party until the 2017 Jacaranda Queen is crowned. Nomination forms are available from the Jacaranda Festival website or from the Jacaranda office, Level 1, Dougherty House, 48 Prince Street, Grafton Thursdays between 9am – 12pm. All nominees will be invited to attend an informal selection meeting with Festival Committee.
