Margie’s marvelous Comeback

Margaret Worroll was on form at Bravehearts (Maclean Golf Club) last Tuesday December 7, winning the Stableford event on the first nine holes with a satisfying 19 points. Margie was returning from a long recovery involving broken bones and was surprised to hear her name called out.

She accepted the Champagne prize with a big smile.

Also on 19 points were Denise Patten and Gaz Taylor who were awarded a bottle of McGuigans Red, and Sassafras Restaurant meal voucher respectively.

Other prizes given to Kim Pye & Trevor Wright (17 points) and lowest putting scorer (15) Phil Meek, included chocolate selection (donated by another wonderful player), shortbreads and Caperberry Restaurant $20 voucher.

Nearest the pins were Mick Rogers on the 2nd for box of Rocky Road and on the 7th, Denise won the donated Golf Club cleaning kit.

Great effort everyone, and a special welcome to new player Chris Bell who was awarded a dozen free range re-homed golf balls.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it and thank you to our friendly sponsors and regular donators. Remember we will be playing all through the holidays and will look forward to more action at MCGC stating at 8am – 8.30 every Tuesday.

Merry Christmas to all at CV Independent.
