Police from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command attended an industrial unit in Induna Street, shortly before 1am, intending to speak with a man, who was wanted on 19 arrest warrants. Police formed a perimeter around the unit and initiated negotiations with the man. At about 8.40am, a 46-year-old man was taken into custody without incident. In a subsequent search of the premises police allegedly located a loaded rifle, ammunition, a quantity of cash and prohibited drugs including MDMA and cannabis. The man was taken to Grafton Police Station, where he was charged with 19 firearms and drug supply offences.
