Don together with Jim Johnson is also through to the final of the C-O-C. Pairs to be played at Brooms Head this Saturday afternoon against Gary Harrison and Alan Knox of Grafton CDSC. The Club Super Vets. Singles was an even match for the most part with John Currie beginning well to lead Jim Shannon 5 – 0 early. Jim then gradually drew to the fore and finally gained the 25 shots required for victory after 27 ends. The final score line was 25 to Jim and 21 to John. Congratulations to Jim and a very well done to John. The final of the Minor Pairs between the teams of Mick Fuss & Tom Cross and Tom Pendergast & Steve Fuller played last Sunday afternoon was a real cliff hanger with an extra end required to decide the winner after the scores were locked at 18 – 18 after the regulation 21 ends. Congratulations to Mick & Tom and a very well done to Tom & Steve. For full details see the results section. The draw for the Mixed Triples Championship is on the board.
