Maclean VIEW Club ‘Bollywood’ party

It was the last meeting of the year, members and friends were made welcome, celebrating in a ‘Bollywood’ fashion just before Christmas. The room was filled with beautiful Sari’s, displaying much bling and colour.

We were fortunate to have our newly elected National Councillor Elizabeth Birch present. Congratulations on your new position.

Presents, were won for best dressed and most colourful, costume and lucky door prizes and raffles to the lucky winners.

Guest entertainer, was the wonderful vocalist, Connor Willmore. Connor sang Christmas carols, including some of his favourites. We love having him entertain us, and wish him all the best in his career.

We meet again in 2020, with our February meeting Thursday 20, at Maclean Bowling Club and start at 10am. This will be, the Annual General Meeting, all positions are vacant. Members are encouraged to nominate for a committee position.

All monies raised from our Club, goes to disadvantaged Australian children, in a ‘Learning For Life’ education programme, we are part of The Smith Family and our Club sponsors six children.

International Women’s Day is on Friday March 13 at Yamba Bowling Club, and those attending are asked to pay at the February meeting. The cost is $32 for catering purposes.

Reminder: Subs are due $20.
