A field of 45 hit off last Monday October 11 for the monthly medal. Alan Cope, playing the best golf he’s played for some time, came in with 39 points to claim the medal (an engraved pen).
He also took home the $40 voucher which would have pleased Cheryl no end I’m sure Alan. Runner up with 38 points was Nancy Phillips and winner of the free game with 37 was Di Moore whose been playing some pretty consistent golf of late.
Club balls went down to 35 points so it looks like that as the course dries out the scores are getting better. There were three other 37 pointers – William Woodham, Michael Furlond and David Lorenzo; then came Bob Harvey and Greg Doolan with 36 followed by Denis Runge, Tina Hogg, Roger Penwarden, Grtaham Roberts, John Porter and Des Plunkett all with 35 points.
The nearest the pins were back on again and these went to Tina Hogg and John Porter on the 2nd, Amanda Barwick and Greg Doolan on the 7th, Amanda Barwick again on the 11th and Nancy Phillips on the 17th.
Our next game on October 25 will be a Stroke game. Just a reminder that the people in the Matchplay competition need to get their games played as soon as possible.
