Next meeting is on Saturday November 19, at the Presbyterian Church Hall, Church Street, Maclean.
Plants are benched by 1pm for judging. The meeting begins 1.30pm. Lucky door and raffle prizes are included, plus afternoon tea.
At our October meeting, 122 beautiful orchids, flowers and plants were benched, to admire and for assessment.
Both Judges Choice and Popular Vote orchid Dendrobium Saiton, winner, new member Ken Hayward. Judges Choice flower – Sue Mackay-Davidson’s Hippeastrum. Popular Vote flower – Sue King’s Cacti.
Thanks go to Terry Bird for the helpful Cymbidium potting demo. There will be an early December Christmas luncheon, our 30th end of year celebration, with more information shared at the next meeting, plus floral beauties on display.
