Maclean Indoor Sports Centre

Monday night squash  With squash players travelling from around the Clarence Valley, our winter squash competition is setting up to be our best yet! We are returning with the three-grade system that was used over summer and going for an even bigger and better season. The fast paced A Grade… the hard hitting A Reserve Grade and social competitors from B Grade are all scheduled for Monday nights, so come on down and have a look from 6pm onwards to see what all the fuss is about. Returning A Grade Champion Michael Davidson will be looking to secure his title and win the first back to back championships in MSC history, Kane Hancock will also be hoping to continue his consistent form and get back into the finals. If you have any interest in getting involved, then please contact the Maclean Sports Centre to get amongst the fun! Mixed indoor soccer Keep your eye on this competition… some incredible young soccer players going head to head every Wednesday night from 6pm at the Maclean Indoor Sports Centre. The Goal Diggers just missed out on finals last season and are determined not to miss out again, they have recruited well this offseason, bringing in Maclean Bobcats Premier League left back Cullyn Butcher to bolster their ranks, they were not going to be an easy side to face this winter season. They proved this in the first game of the season when finalists “The Goats” went up against them on Wednesday, just scraping past with the win, final score ending 11-10. The Goats have returned with familiar faces, Luke Hanlon and Fraser Marsh leading the attack, they look to be formidable opponents once again. The Coco Pop Killers are back again with the familiar style of play they love, smooth, silky and a little bit fancy. Flicks and tricks are in abundance with this team, followed by some strong finishing they will be a treat to watch. They overcame the new team on the block “The Bobbies” 9 – 4, but don’t be fooled, the Bobbies will be looking to hit back hard next week with some goals of their own. The Maclean Sports Centre also hosts a range of activities throughout the week, check our website macleansportscentre.com  for more information. KMA Martial Arts are continuing their classes on the top floor of the Maclean Sports Centre every Tuesday and Thursday from 4.30pm onwards.
