Margaret Harris, one of the models at the fashion parade
The fashion parade held recently by the Maclean Lower Clarence Hospital Auxiliary was very successful, raising a total of $1181 which will go towards providing the latest equipment for Maclean District Hospital. Everyone enjoyed the parade and the delicious afternoon tea and many took advantage of the opportunity to freshen their wardrobes with the bargain priced clothing. Thank you to the Wellspring Church Op Shop for donating all the fashions. The raffle winners were P Fraser (No 59998) and D Lyons (No 60034). Thanks go to the models who showed off the clothing to such good effect and to the Treelands Drive Community Centre for providing the venue. The next fund raising event will be the annual Mothers’ Day Morning Tea on Friday May 6 at 10am in the River Room at Maclean Services Club. The entry fee is still only $5 and there will be lucky door prizes as well as raffles and tombolas. We look forward to the community’s continuing support. Maggie Combley
