Maclean Fours tomorrow afternoon
Three first round matches of Club C Grade Singles were played last Sunday.
First round matches of our Club Open Fours are set down for this Thursday afternoon (5pm). Also the second round of the C Grade Singles is set down for play this Saturday, February 6 with a 12.45pm roll-up. Play or forfeit rule will apply to all scheduled championship matches unless other (Match Committee) approved arrangements are made.
Two of our Maclean teams made it through to the semi-finals of the District Open Fours at Iluka last Saturday but both failed to make the final.
Nomination lists are on the board for District Pairs and Singles (all categories). These close on February 9 for Pairs and February 19 for Singles.
A Pennant trial is set down for this Sunday afternoon February 7 (1pm start) against Yamba at Yamba in all grades. Sides for this have been selected and are on the board.
The District Pennant competition proper commences on March 5 for Grades 6 & 7, and March 12 for Grades 3, 4 & 5. A draw is on the notice board.
The first round of our ever popular ‘Last-Friday-of-the-Month’ single entry social triples competition was played last Friday with some interesting results. Again this competition is sponsored by our great supporters Riverland Travel and the Maclean Bowling Club, for this we thank you.
Attention ‘Terry’s’ Travelling Bowlers, there is a list on the board for suggestions for a ‘signature’ name for our group. There are many and varied ones suggested already. Have your say so we can vote in a good ‘catchy’ name for ourselves.
Visitors to our Club are always welcome to come and enjoy our great hospitality and participate in a game.
