The haul was made at the 2017 Queensland Masters Championship Regatta held at Coomera Lake on Saturday and Sunday, April 7-8
The Lower Clarence contingent of Betty-Dawn Bodgdanek, David Hailes, Joanne Meehan, Clare Millist and Amanda Steel dominated the Regatta, outperforming many larger rowing clubs.
The conditions were anything but ideal with a strong crosswind, raging swells, and threatening rain clouds on Saturday, and sweltering heat on Sunday. Despite this, Lower Clarence stormed home in all events contested. Joy Hailes, Candice Jagoe and Meckenzie Jagoe bolstered the competitors, cheering from the bank. Meckenzie Jagoe was adopted as the official “Mighty Mascot”.
