Lower Clarence Community Choir – annual concert
Recently the Lower Clarence Community Choir performed at the Festival of New Italy where their music was enthusiastically received. Rapidly approaching is the choir’s annual concert which is entitled: “Mostly Italian” which not only features the “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi but a selection of Italian songs of note.
On Saturday June 4 commencing at 2pm in the Maclean Civic Hall, will be the first of a pair of choral concerts conducted by Sr Anne Gallagher and accompanied by Mrs Gwen Berman. The Lower Clarence Community Choir will be performing some of the repertoire from the New Italy Festival along with songs of popular styles and more classical nature. A particular feature will be the performance of the complete “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi which showcases not only the choir itself but also soloists and a small orchestra.
Throughout the afternoon concert there will also be selected soloists both vocal and instrumental.
On Sunday June 5 also commencing at 2pm in the Yamba Bowling Club auditorium, this program will be repeated.
The Lower Clarence Community Choir continues to grow in number and performing experience and always presents choral music of a high standard for the enjoyment of their audiences. This annual concert is proudly presented to the community and all are encouraged to attend and to enjoy the live music making of a highly regarded choir.
Tickets are for sale at the door and a sizable percentage of the proceeds are donated to charitable and community service organisations. Come along and enjoy the music.
Tickets are $12 Adult; $10 concessions.
