On Saturday, August 13, starting at 10am, the radio station Loving Life FM 103.1 will present a day of fun, food and fantastic entertainment for the Clarence Valley in Market Square, Grafton. It will be a day to remember for all ages: a time to sample delicious offerings from the food stalls, a time to support local fundraising groups and a time to enjoy free entertainment from local artists and musicians. Among the activities on offer will be a magic show, fancy dress competition, storytelling, face Painting and a ‘selfie’ opportunity with Grafton’s Red Dog. A feature of the day will be a talent quest, ‘Valley’s Got Talent’, showcasing the emerging talent of singers, poets, dancers, musicians and novelty acts. There will be two age groups, under 10 yrs and 10 to 14 yrs. There also will be announced the award winners of Loving Life’s Internship and Scholarship program. These awards, to a value of $500 each, will support youth in the Valley to pursue careers in the media industry and create employment opportunities for the region, in the metropolitan locations where the station has links with affiliated radio and media organisations. Loving Life Day will provide an all-day entertainment program and also demonstrate the new technology it will be installing in its Fitzroy St premises during September this year.
