Love your library? Become a ‘friend’
People who would like to become an official “friend” of the library are invited to join the launch of Friends of Grafton Library next month and become a member.
Regional librarian, Kathryn Breward, said the new group was looking for friendly, creative team players who would enjoy helping to raise funds for the Grafton library.
The Friends of the Grafton Library group is holding two membership drive events. The launch and first session will be held in Grafton Library on Friday, August 5, at 5:30pm-7:30pm and another on Saturday, August 6, at 10am-noon.
Friends of the Library (FOL) has supporters whose objectives are to:
• promote and support Clarence valley libraries as a valuable asset for Clarence valley communities;
• enhance the facilities, services and resources of the Clarence valley library service;
• support funding initiatives; and,
• support the freedom to read and free access to information for all.
Ms Breward said meetings provided a great opportunity for the FOL to plan events, determine how they would help in library projects and hear an update on news from the library team.
If you are interested in becoming part of the Friends of Grafton Library, come along and join the group. For further information, phone 6641 0100.
