The Lawrence Area Over Fifties Club were keen to show their support for Lawrence Museum’s new shed project, with a generous donation of $300. Over Fifties Club president, Maureen King, said, “The Club fully supports the Lawrence Museum’s efforts to build a new shed. It is important we have this to preserve and display our rural and river heritage items.” Club members visited the Museum to present the cheques to Lawrence Museum treasurer Prue Harrington. In thanking the Club for their donation, Prue said the Museum is making all efforts to raise sufficient funds to build the much needed shed this year. “We are very grateful for all the community support received to help us with this project,” she added The Lawrence Museum is open Tuesdays from 9am to 1pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 4pm.
