Members are making the most of the later winter start and there was a good roll up for last Tuesday week’s games. 

The weather was glorious and players were not keen to leave at the end of the morning’s session. Congratulations to Tonia for achieving the only golden hoop of the day, especially as she has only been playing for a couple of weeks.

There was a very foggy start to Thursday morning but this seemed to clear with the arrival of the Coutts Crossing Pennant team. Both clubs were eager to take to the courts and were looking forward to a challenging morning of quality croquet. Whilst rivalry was to the fore there was lots of laughter and all players enjoyed their games immensely. Although Carole managed a hoop to hoop and Karen a long jump shot, Coutts proved to be the better players on the day winning all their matches. Bill and Phil defeated Carole and Karen; Pam and Ann defeated Colleen and Ann whilst Sheila and Tony were winners against Kath and Leanne.  

Morning tea was followed by social games until early afternoon after which time it was down to the Lawrence Tavern for lunch and some more laughs.

New players are always welcome. Our days of play are Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9am. All equipment is supplied. The cost to play is $6 per session.
