Lawrence Community Raffles donate $1,000 to Lawrence Museum

Community support for the Lawrence Museum is growing, with the Lawrence Community Raffles donating $1,000 toward the building of a new shed. The Lawrence Historical Society Inc. began fundraising to build a new shed at the beginning of the year, and has been well supported by local organisations. This week, Lynn Morgan, member of the Lawrence Community Raffles, presented the Society with a cheque for $1,000. The new building is needed to enable the Museum to preserve and display more of our rural and river heritage items. Plans for the shed have been drawn up, and work will commence as soon as the development application is approved by Council. The Lawrence Museum is open Tuesdays from 9am to 1pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 4pm.
