If it is dance tuition you want, then The Clarence River Dance Academy can help. The studio’s principals, Nicole Shipman and Adele Lewis are the only fully qualified teachers to teach the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus in the Clarence Valley. This includes the full ballet syllabus. Nicole and Adele hold classes for all age groups and their studios are spread throughout the Valley at Webbers Arcade (upstairs) Prince Street, Grafton; 267 River Street, Maclean and the a NEW location in Yamba at the Raymond Laurie Sports Centre. They offer classes in classical ballet, character, jazz/hip-hop, private coaching, eisteddfod’s and annual concerts. Tap and contemporary are taught at Maclean only. “Our studio has gained a fine reputation and students regularly top their divisions in competition. We encourage any students wanting a career in performing arts such as dance, singing, drama or modeling to get in contact with us,” said Ms Shipman. Of course you don’t have to have the big stage in your sights to learn dance. Many Clarence River Dance Academy students want nothing more than to simply learn dance, without any thought of progression to a higher level. This especially applies to the more contemporary forms like jazz or hip-hop. 2016 Enrolment days: Yamba – Friday January 29, 3pm – 4pm. Maclean – Saturday January 30, 9am – 10am at 267 River Street. Grafton – Saturday January 30, 9am – 10am at upstairs Webbers Arcade, Prince Street. If unable to attend enrolments please phone the studio on 6645 1413 and leave a message if the studio is unattended or phone Nicole 0419 429 244 or Adele 0412 691 493.
