It was with a great pleasure at the end of last term (end 2015) that we got to award a cub, Adrion, with the highest award – The Grey Wolf award, he is our third member to achieve this since 2013 when we restarted. Adrion worked really hard to receive this award, having to do a number of challenges over a period of time, some of them are: a number out outdoor activities (including camping); achieve four of the level 2 badges (one from each section, as there are four of these sections to do); a special interest badge; develop a resource for the group and to organise and run (with supervision) a hike/walk of some description. In this case we out to Minnie Water with a number of the Cubs and one scout helper and some parents even tagged along (as well as a Leader). Region Cub Commissioner – Louise Shakespeare, for the North Coast came up from Kempsey to present Adrian with his award in front of the group, including parents. In addition to all this Adrion has also completed a Cub Leadership course; has become a Sixer; and attended all camps organised through the group and the region. He always comes to Cubs with a smile on his face and is a great leader of his Six and the other cubs as well. Adrion is also linking up to the scout section and will be a great asset to them in his attitude towards scouting and the community.
